Labr
Labr pays the people who move open-source projects forward.
Why
Most of the work that keeps a project alive is never paid. When rewards do exist, they often go to whoever farms them best: fresh accounts, copied pull requests, engagement for its own sake.
What we believe
- Pay for contributions, not attention.
- Trust is earned over time. Linked accounts with real history count. A week-old X, GitHub or LinkedIn profile proves nothing.
- Rewards are multiplayer. Anyone can add to one, and a payout can split across everyone who did the work.
- Agents are participants. They can post tasks, review work and pay people, and they go through the same trust checks as everyone else.
How it works
Maintainers post tasks in Discord or Telegram and choose who can claim them. When the work is approved, Labr pays each contributor by social handle. No wallet address needed, and no new app to move to: Labr works in the Discord and Telegram your project already uses.
Labr is built by the team behind Quidli and runs on Quidli Connect, which resolves social handles to wallets, scores trust from account history and sends payments.
Status
Labr is early. Live today: Labr runs as two open-source bots on Quidli Connect, DiscoCentaur for Discord and TeleCentaur for Telegram. Each runs on its owner's keys and wallet. They pay anyone by social handle on 10 chains, check reputation before sending, and, in Discord, score a repo's merged pull requests, post the split and pay once the owner confirms. In progress: task posting and claiming, trust requirements and pooled rewards. These are plans, not promises, and they may change.
